There will be plenty of youth represented on the USA hockey team at the 2010 Olympics. So who makes the cut? Are Keith Tkachuk and Mike Knuble too old? Is Tim Thomas the starting goalie? Who's overrated? Who's been overlooked? Who do you think deserves a spot on Team USA?

connolly

Tim Connolly is one of the best power play players in the league. He should be on Team USA.

Pando

If the USA were truely selecting players based on how well they played their roles, then they would have selected Jay Pandolfo. He's only the best penalty killer in the league over the past 13 years!

Mike Modano

Mike Modano as the hightest scoring playing American Player was given a snub by the US Hockey Team. He has done more of US hockey then anyone. He is known everywhere as the look of US Hockey. Shame on you.

What the roster should be

D D: Jack Johnson, Erik Johnson, Brian Rafalski, Mike Komisarek, Tyler Myers, Tom Gilbert, Rob Scuderi (might not be a big name but has always shut dow the big time stars). F: Patrick Kane, Phil Kessel, Paul Stastny, Scott Gomez, Brian Gionta, Zach Parise, David Backes, Dustin Brown, Bobby Ryan, Ryan Callahan, Ryan Kesler, Blake Wheeler, Tim Connolly. G: Tim Thomas, Ryan Miller, Rick Dipietro (if healthy), if not healthy then Craig Anderson.

Komisarek?!

Mike Komisarek sucks, the only reason he is on the team is because the Leafs' coach is coaching team USA.

Team USA is going no where........

This team is so bad, that the toranto maple leafs can beat them..... USA will never win a medal in a long time...

US team

As an Islanders fan it would have been nice to see Okposo included on the team however ever since the roster for team USA was announced and Okposo was omitted, he has been playing even better for the Islanders so I am happy he was not chosen.

—Guest tyler

Jason Pominville

He's awesome. Welcome to Pominville, folks. GO TEAM USA
—Guest DUDE

Modano

No Mike Modano?, are you kidding me, i place the states in 6th place, if they are lucky, CANADA GOLD
—Guest Joe

Not Including Mike Modano

is a major dis to the greatest US born Hockey Player. Shame on the USOC. This will most likely be his last year as an active player. A little respect for his stature would have gone a long way. We won't even medal with this team.

billy g

youre on crack

all of you who put ryan whitney on your blue line obviously havent seen him play at all this year. he is terrible. and this is coming from a ducks fan. speaking of which, if randy carlyle didnt hold him back bobby ryan would be a top scorer in the league
—Guest jack

Modano?

How do you have USA hockey without this guy? He might not be on the top line anymore but he has been the symbol for this team for years and not to mention then best american player ever
—Guest Stevel

cullen and gleason??

this may sound biased being a die hard hurricanes fan, but i do beleive that both Tim Gleason and Matt Cullen should at the very least be considerd. their numbers may not prove it, but both are having great years. and screw orpik btw hes terrible!!!
