- Our Canadian side will prevail. While our goalkeepers have had it tough over the last while, especially Luongo, the Canucks do not have the calibre of defencemen that will now be playing in front of him and Brodeur. Too bad Marty St Louis wasn't chosen, a big canadian mistake. The fans will be the deciding factor for Canada. THEY MUST NOT LET THEIR GUARD DOWN. The States will have a tough time, if they rely on their keeper thru out the tourney. Russia will have trouble. Canada 7 - Sweden 4 for Gold. Russia 6 - Finland 4, bronze.

- I think Canada will win the gold. Hockey is our sport, it is in our blood, it is in the air. Our team will feed off the energy of the hometown crowd and paint the arena gold!!!

Canada, Slovakia, USA
- The gold is going to Canada, that's that. This is one of the best all around teams Canada has put together. Not only can they skate goal line to goal line, but the goaltenders will stand on their heads. The real thing going on is Slovakia is my favorite to take the silver, regardless of the fact that they have to play powerhouse Russia in the prelims, and they have quite a few old timers. With both goaltenders fighting for the starting job you should expect to see quite an effort from who ever does get the nod. While its a long shot I think Slovakia will put the puck in the net enough to beat the Czechs, and will catch the Red machine off guard. However in order to do this the Hossa, Gaborik, Demitra line will need to produce. After a loss to Slovakia, Russia will definately come out flying, however the Superb goaltending of Ryan Miller, and Tim Thomas will hold them off, making way for what should be a very effective puck moving offense.

Olympic hockey prediction (Men's)
- I pick Sweden for gold, Canada for silver, and U.S.A. for bronze because of a totally unscientific process involving number of players from my favorite team, the Vancouver Canucks. Sweden has the Sedins, Canada and U.S.A. one Canuck each but Canada gets the better medal because their Canuck is our awesome goalie Roberto Luongo! No offense Ryan Kesler (the U.S.A. Canuck), that's just how I see it!

- Snuffing Mike Modano is a huge mistake. Yeah he is older but having a good season and he has been the heart and soul of the USA team for many years. So for the snuff of Modano I say you suck team USA and go Canada.

- Hockey Canada blew it by ditching Martin St. Louis...Sweden is LOADED and USA may have great goaltenders but they lag behind in offensive power. BTW I emailed Team Canada c/o hockeycanada.ca for not putting M. St.Louis on the team. He's playing his tush off this year!

- I think it will be Sweden, because of henrik lundqvist. For the silver it will be Finland and the bronze Team USA because they have the goaltending.
