Who needs realism? We want action. That was the original approach of NHL Hitz. Many hockey rules were ignored, teams played 3-on-3 and the result was lots of speed and hitting with a pounding rock and roll soundtrack. A real "arcade" game. The latest version retains the NHL Hitz style, but it is also features 5-on-5 play with authentic NHL rules.
The second version of this game for PlayStation2 and PSP. It's getting solid reviews for its graphics and the "creation modes" used to build teams and players. But the overall action and game play does not match the standards of more established games.
