The early word on EA's NHL 08 is that the game has improved skating, more realism in the hitting and physical play, and a good online league feature.

The 2K franchise updates its game with Fast paced, high scoring gameplay.4. NHL 07
The latest version of the EA franchise includes a new passing function for enhanced puck control and some changes to the dynasty mode. The overall animation and mechanics are getting good reviews.

Who needs realism? We want action. That was the original approach of NHL Hitz. Many hockey rules were ignored, teams played 3-on-3 and the result was lots of speed and hitting with a pounding rock and roll soundtrack. A real "arcade" game. The latest version retains the NHL Hitz style, but it is also features 5-on-5 play with authentic NHL rules.8. Gretzky NHL 2006
The second version of this game for PlayStation2 and PSP. It's getting solid reviews for its graphics and the "creation modes" used to build teams and players. But the overall action and game play does not match the standards of more established games.
