Question: Who holds the record for most goals in one NHL season?
Answer:

Wayne Gretzky set the record for most goals in one NHL season by scoring 92 goals for the Edmonton Oilers in 1981-82.

Gretzky also holds second place on the single-season list, with an 87-goal season in 1983-84. In all, he has four of the top ten goal-scoring seasons in NHL history.

The only other players to score more than 80 goals in a season are Brett Hull (86 in 1990-91) and Mario Lemieux (85 in 1988-89).
