Jamie Fitzpatrick is a broadcaster and freelance sportswriter in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Experience:
Jamie began his career as a sports reporter with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and has since branched into news, entertainment, and music production. He continues to work in sports as a Guide at About.com and a commentator on CBC Radio. Jamie was guest editor of a hockey-themed issue of The New Quarterly, a literary journal, and is working on a novel in which the world's greatest game plays a prominent role.
Education:
Jamie holds a journalism degree from the University of Western Ontario, but he owes most of his hockey education to his Dad and a pee-wee coach named Mr. Goodwin.
From Jamie Fitzpatrick:
Pro hockey's greatest asset is the fan. So I try to consider issues and stories from a fan's perspective, while tracking the game's biggest stories and commenting on the issues of the day.
