Call it a missed opportunity for women's hockey.

With NHL fans starved for action, this would have been the perfect year to hold the Women's Four Nations Cup tournament in Canada or the U.S.

Instead, it's Finland's turn. The 2012 Four Nations Cup will be played next week in Vantaa.

When they aren't busy with national team duties, the best female players in the world play for college and club teams.
