Complete rosters for the useless NHL All Star Game were announced this week.
Hockey's Dreariest Weekend begins Saturday, January 24 with the somnolent "Young Stars" scrimmage and cheesy "SuperSkills" competition. On Sunday, the All Stars take to the ice for a lazy afternoon scrimmage.
The non-event of the season usually provides a couple of non-stories for everyone to fuss over. Who got snubbed and which team's fans stuffed the ballot box are annual favorites.
All will be forgotten by the time real hockey resumes on January 27.
