USA Olympic Hockey Team Bridges the Generations
The 2006 USA Olympic men's hockey team includes 11 players with Olympic experience and a dozen who will be at the Games for the first time. The oldest player is Chris Chelios, who will be 44 when the tournament starts. Goaltender Rick DiPietro was two years old when Chelios made his Olympic debut in 1984.
USA Hockey named the roster on Monday. Olympic veterans left behind include Jeremy Roenick, John Leclair, Tony Amonte and Brian Leetch.
