Finding the Next Heir to Hobey Baker

A pair of linemates from Colorado College are among this year's contenders for the 2005 Hobey Baker Award, given to the outstanding player in men's college hockey.

Marty Sertich is the all-purpose centerman. Brett Sterling is the pounding goal scorer. They will lead Colorado against three conference rivals at the Frozen Four next week. The third finalist and underdog is Cornell goaltender David McKee. He was spectacular in last weekend's regional playdowns, as the Big Red fell just short against Minnesota.

The winner will be announced April 8.
