Tired of hearing about Keith Primeau? The Tampa Bay Lightning are. The captain of the Philadelphia Flyers took charge again Thursday night, dragging his team back from the brink. Tampa Bay was 1:49 away from a trip to the Stanley Cup Final when Primeau finished a forechecking shift by tucking home a rebound, forcing overtime. It was his second goal and third point of the game. Late in OT, he bulled the puck to the net for Simon Gagne, who scored his second goal to give Philadelphia the 5-4 win.
Primeau, Gagne and Jeremy Roenick were unstoppable for most of the night, helping the Flyers dodge a questionable performance by goaltender Robert Esche. Game seven of the Eastern Conference Final goes Saturday in Tampa Bay.
Here are the scores and recaps from the 2004 Stanley Cup Conference Finals.
