Flames and Lightning: One Win Away

The Tampa Bay Lightning power play came to life at the best possible time, scoring three times to give the team a 3-0 lead on Tuesday. After that, the story was goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin, who held off a Philadelphia comeback until an empty-net goal gave the Lightning a 4-2 win. Tampa leads the Eastern Conference Final 3-2.

When the Calgary Flames are on their game in these playoffs, they look like vintage Colorado Avalanche - setting up one-timers, taking off on breakaways and two-on-ones, and finishing with precision. That's how they played Monday, for about half the game. After that they shut it down and cruised to a 3-0 win. The Flames lead the Western Conference Final 3-2.
