Physical, bloody hockey is dear to the hearts of fans and players. The best games begin with a touch of hate in the air, and come perilously close to boiling over. Hockey violence definately contributes to ratings. It provides excitement and draws the interest of fans. But, I think fans would still stay true with a lessened amount of violence.
