About the only Minnesota Wild player worth watching has packed his bags. Marian Gaborik arrived in St. Paul last week, hoping to iron out a new contract with the team. Today, he left town again, but not before the two sides issued duelling press releases. Gaborik's terse statement came first. A curt reply from general manager Doug Risebrough followed. If reports on the negotiations are accurate, this mess has its roots in the infamous rookie salary cap.
