Dany Heatley: "Just Another Punk"

Mary Ormsby of the Toronto Star advises us not to feel sorry for Dany Heatley. On September 29, he was "just a punk in a fast car." Heatley does not deserve our sympathy, says Ormsby. The only thing he has earned is full responsibility for the death of teammate Dan Snyder. Ormsby's point is well taken. But her column is remarkable in its dearth of compassion, and stands in stark contrast to the reaction of the Snyder family. "We're here for Dany Heatley and we're praying he can get through this," Graham Snyder told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
