NHL Goalie Wars!
Friday September 26, 2003
Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils says his fellow NHL goaltenders should stop whining about the new equipment restrictions, especially Garth Snow. Snow, the Islanders' stopper known for his gargantuan gear, responds by suggesting Brodeur should mind his own business, hinting that Marty's personal business is a bit of a misadventure these days. A low blow, perhaps, but goalies are a competitive bunch. Meanwhile, across town in Manhattan, Mike Dunham of the Rangers is busted for illegal equipment, and warns the league that someone could get hurt before all this is over. Wondering what all the fuss is about? A new limit on the length of NHL goaltenders' leg pads was announced over the summer.
