Felix The Bruin
Wednesday September 3, 2003
The options for Curtis Joseph narrowed a little further today as the Boston Bruins signed free agent goaltender Felix Potvin. The Bruins were assumed to be pursuing a deal to acquire Joseph from the Detroit Red Wings. But as Nancy Marrapese-Burrell of the Boston Globe explains, Potvin is cheaper than Joseph, and the Bruins didn't have to give up anything to get him. Maybe the Wings can pay Cujo $8-million to play in the minors. Or loan him to the Swiss League.
